Technical DatasheetA gas leak checker operates not as an isolated piece of plastic, but as the critical frontline guardian against catastrophic explosive de-flagration, toxic industrial emissions, and environmental contamination.
Our ODM development spans Catalytic Combustion (Pellistor), NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared), Electrochemical, and Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) sensing principles. Each transducer is matched with adaptive temperature-compensation curves to eliminate false positives caused by kitchen humidity, chemical clean-downs, or ambient temperature fluctuations.
Integrated microprocessors execute continuous hardware health interrogations, detecting sensor degradation, heater circuit disconnects, and supply-voltage decay. Integrated output relays and pulse drives directly control solenoid shut-off valves, guaranteeing that mechanical closure is triggered within milliseconds of reaching lower explosive limits.
Encapsulated in high-impact, fire-retardant ABS/PC blends and explosion-proof cast aluminum alloys, our enclosures achieve ingress ratings up to IP66. Flameproof labyrinths and sintered metal mesh prevent internal electronic sparks from igniting external hazardous atmospheres across Class I, Division 1 / Zone 1 locations.
Deploying gas safety hardware worldwide requires precise adherence to territorial directives, functional safety benchmarks, and metrological standards.
Full support for EN 50194-1 (electrical apparatus for the detection of combustible gases in domestic premises) and EN 60079 series for explosive atmospheres (ATEX/UKEX). Low-voltage design meets CE-LVD, while high-density shielding ensures electromagnetic resilience under CE-EMC without nuisance tripping.
Architectures tailored for UL 1484 (Standard for Residential Gas Detectors) and UL 2075 (Gas and Vapor Detectors and Sensors). Integrated end-of-life signaling algorithms match NFPA 715 requirements, providing audible-visual indications at end of lifetime alongside tamper-resistant chassis locks.
Backed by China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for fire-protection and explosion-proof equipment. Calibrated with traceable reference span gases (Methane, Propane, Isobutane, Hydrogen, Carbon Monoxide) ensuring full validation of LEL thresholds and repeatable factory calibration records.
Harnessing Chengdu’s premier technological cluster to deliver vertical integration, compressed prototype lifecycles, and high-volume cost advantages without compromising precision.
From high-speed Surface Mount Technology (SMT) with automated optical inspection (AOI) to precision multi-cavity injection molding, every structural and electronic component is fabricated under strict ISO 9001 governance.
Every gas checker undergoes automated multi-point environmental burn-in and computerized gas exposure chambers. Drift analysis guarantees that sensors maintain baseline stability across high-humidity cycles.
Long-term strategic agreements with semiconductor, microcontroller, and passive component fabricators mitigate supply chain turbulence, ensuring reliable lead times even during global component crunches.
From industrial aesthetic alterations to customized communication protocols (Modbus RS485, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT), our Chengdu engineering team transitions proof-of-concepts into certified production units in under 60 days.
Understanding the shifting demands of municipal gas distribution utilities, EPC contractors, and high-volume safety brands worldwide.
Global procurement directors focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and liability containment rather than unit purchase cost alone:
Strategic roadmaps for modern gas safety hardware must anticipate three major technological vectors:
Engineering appropriate sensor placements and interlocking routines based on physical properties of target fuel and toxic gases.
Mounting position depends on molecular density relative to air. Natural Gas (Methane): Mount within 30cm of the ceiling and within 1.5m of the appliance. LPG (Propane/Butane): Mount within 30cm of the floor. Interlocks with the JYFJS-011 solenoid valve to mechanically shut off fuel supply at the gas meter immediately upon initial stage warning (typically 10% LEL).
Demands robust stand-alone units like the SD2130 that operate reliably in grease-laden, humid steam atmospheres. Linkage relays simultaneously shut down high-pressure fuel supply solenoids while activating positive-pressure intake air dampers and high-volume roof ventilation extractors to disperse combustible vapors.
Confined utility tunnels and metering vaults require a two-stage approach: portable sniffer pens (JLY-50A) for micro-joint pin-pointing, combined with multi-channel diffusion instruments (BTYQ-Z4) to evaluate combustible buildup, oxygen depletion (<19.5% VOL), and hydrogen sulfide toxicity before personnel entry.
Explore our industrial bus-type architectures, multi-gas portable safety instruments, and master monitoring controllers.

Technical DatasheetIn-depth responses covering calibration physics, interlocking safety valves, and regulatory standards for international engineers and procurement specialists.
The Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) represents the minimum concentration of combustible gas or vapor in air capable of propagating a flame when ignited. For Methane (CH₄), 100% LEL corresponds to roughly 5.0% volume in air; for Propane (C₃H₈), 100% LEL is approximately 2.1% volume.
An alarm setpoint is set far below this threshold to provide time for evacuation and automatic shut-off. Typically, domestic and commercial checkers establish a Low Alarm (AL1) at 10% to 20% LEL and a High Alarm (AL2) at 25% LEL, providing an essential safety factor before explosive concentrations accumulate.
Normal atmospheric air is composed of approximately 20.9% Oxygen by volume (%VOL), equivalent to 209,000 parts per million (ppm). Measuring shifts in oxygen levels (such as asphyxiation hazards at <19.5% VOL or enrichment risks at >23.5% VOL) using parts per million would introduce unwieldy six-figure values.
Expressing atmospheric oxygen concentration in %VOL provides clearer, faster readouts for technicians during confined space entries and pipeline purge verifications.
Shield gas leak checkers incorporate a dedicated pulse output (typically 12VDC capacitive discharge) or a dry-contact relay. Upon reaching alarm threshold, an electrical pulse energizes the solenoid inside valves like the JYFJS-011, driving the internal seal to mechanically seat within < 1 second.
To prevent gas flow from resuming after the alarm clears, the valve features a mechanical latch that can only be reopened manually by a technician once the line is verified leak-free and safe.
Stand-Alone Detectors (e.g., SD2130 Series): Ideal for isolated zones such as residential apartments, stand-alone boiler rooms, and commercial kitchens. These units process sensor signals locally, drive onboard audible-visual strobes, and close local cut-off valves directly without requiring central controllers.
Bus-Type/Networked Detectors (e.g., SD2100A / SD2100E): Specified for multi-zone facilities, chemical plants, refineries, and large buildings. Field detectors communicate continuously over 2-wire or 4-wire M-Bus / Modbus RS485 back to a central supervisory controller (e.g., SD8001A/B) located in a non-hazardous control room, enabling unified logging, zone-isolated interlocks, and BMS integration.
